Riverlea, formerly known as Buckland Park Township, is one of South Australia’s largest masterplanned residential communities. Located near Virginia and Buckland Park in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, this transformative development is being delivered by Walker Corporation, with design input from Place Design Group.

Amenities: Planned retail, recreation facilities, and educational infrastructure include The Palms Shopping Village and Xavier College Riverlea Park. Early learning centres and additional schools will be delivered in phases.

Transport & Infrastructure: Major investment in road networks, public transport extensions, and essential utilities. A large wastewater pump station has been constructed to support the initial housing stages.
Sustainability & Community Considerations

Heritage Protection: In 2023, Aboriginal remains were discovered on-site. Following consultation with the Kaurna community, construction resumed under strict heritage protection conditions.

Regulatory Compliance: The project has undergone full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) processes and was declared a Major Development under South Australian law.
